Aisha Carson of JXN Water said this kind of community engagement is beneficial for the residents of Jackson for many reasons. “One of those is sustainability… we want this to be sustainable. We want people to understand what it took to rehab the system and we want people to know what their wastewater utility company is… what do we know now and what we’ll do in the future and getting an up-close look at that,” said Carson, JXN Water’s social impact strategist.
