Msmes: Lab To Aid Msmes, Industries Opened | Trichy News

Trichy: Centre for Industry 4.0 (C4i4) lab to help public sector undertakings (PSUs), MSMEs and startups to explore advanced technologies including robotics to assemble and pack their components or products, was opened in Indra Ganesan College in Trichy on Friday. The lab is sponsored by the Union ministry of heavy industries as a part of smart advanced manufacturing and rapid transformation hub (Samarth). The lab adopting industry 4.0 solutions will encourage entrepreneurs and industries to understand the impact of digital solutions in improving the efficiency and quality of their products in the manufacturing sector. Instead of manually packing the products in a box which is considered time consuming, the lab would offer quick solutions using robotics to pack the products in a short time, ensuring zero error. “Any manufacturing units involving assembly line such as PSUs like ordnance factory Trichy, and entrepreneurs operating sweet stalls could benefit from the lab. We have prototypes that offer hands-on experience which would make the participant understand the impact in manufacturing process,” V Sivaraman, managing director, Trichy Aerospace Private Limited said. The lab would benefit various manufacturing units in the central and southern districts. The lab has collaborative robots and automated guided vehicle.
