Mandatory water conservation order lifted in Mechanicsburg
The mandatory water conservation order has been lifted for the Mechanicsburg water system as of 6 p.m. on Friday.The order was ordered on Nov. 22 when the company’s Silver Spring Water Treatment Plant was taken offline as a precautionary measure. Production has now been restored to the plant.Drinking water remains safe and normal water use may be resumed, though customers are encouraged to use water wisely.The Mechanicsburg water system includes parts of the following communities:Silver Spring TownshipHampden TownshipLower Allen TownshipLemoyne BoroughWormleysburg BoroughEast Pennsboro TownshipNew Cumberland BoroughFairview TownshipShiremanstown BoroughCamp Hill BoroughNewberry Township
