In the early stages of H2 2023, the overall sentiment in the crypto market is positive. Notably, litecoin (LTC) and chainlink (LINK) have seen price increases towards the end of H1 2023. Litecoin upcoming halving driving demand
In December 2022, experts predicted that LTC would surpass the $100 mark in 2023 after the bearish market in 2022.
This prediction has come true due to two major factors: the upcoming Litecoin halving event scheduled for August 2, 2023, and the improving market sentiment. The Litecoin block halving event occurs every four years and usually leads to an increase in LTC prices.
In anticipation of the halving event, LTC prices rose from $85.8463 to $108 on the last day of June 2023.
The block reward stands at 12.5 LTC, but after the halving event next month, it will be reduced to 6.25 LTC.
Despite a slight dip in LTC prices at the beginning of July, investors remain optimistic about the potential for further growth this month.
Chainlink riding the bull run
Chainlink prices fell in June 2023. Whales and big-money players used this period to accumulate at cheaper prices.
The decision proved strategic because LINK is one of the tokens predicted to surge in a historically strong July.
This LINK bulk buying led to a bullish run, and the token increased by 25.8% over the past three weeks from $4.99 to $6.28.
Currently, LINK is trading for $6.28.
Reportedly, whales still hold LINK anticipating price pumps in July and August 2023.
