When a new month begins, the United States Social Security Administration sends different benefits to retirees. And among those benefits is always Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This extra payment is not just for retirees, but it is common to get it along with the retirement check.

The payment of these Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits is usually made on the 1st of the month, with some exceptions. And in some months there are double payments of this benefit, but this is not the case in April. There is only one check for this benefit in April, so we will not get any extra payments in the next few weeks.

However, there is a possibility of getting an extra Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment in May. Therefore, it is a good idea to check the SSI payment schedule so that you will know exactly when in the next few months the money will be available to you.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments in the remaining months of 2024

After the January, February, March and April benefit payments, we will also get payments for this extra help from Social Security during the rest of the year. And in some of the months we will find double payments, so we must pay attention.

Of course, we may also find that in some months we do not get one of these Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks due to irregularities in the calendar. For clarity, let’s take a look at the payments for the next few months:

• May: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments on the 1st and 31st of the month. The second payment is in June.
• June: The 1st of this month is a weekend, so the check will be sent earlier than the 31st of May.
• July: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment on the 1st of the month.
• August: Two checks this month. The first is on August 1st and the second on the 30th of the month.
• September: There are no payments for this benefit in this month due to the 1st being a weekend.
• October: Only one payment of this benefit arrives in this month. The October Supplemental Security Income (SSI) mailing date is the 1st of this month.
• November: The Administration will send two different payments in this month. On the 1st of November 1st. On the other, on the 29th of this month. The latter payment belongs to December.
• December: The payment belonging to this month will be sent on the 29th of November. But there is still a payment, which will be on the 31st of December. This payment will actually be the first of the 2025 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks.

It should be noted that this last payment will even have the 2024 COLA added to it. So it will not have a maximum check of $943, but will increase depending on what the COLA is that the Administration and The United States Government announce.
