Saltaire penthouse sells for record breaking $8.26 million

A penthouse on the 35th floor of the newly-opened Saltaire condominium in downtown St. Petersburg just sold for $8.26 million, according to an announcement at Smith & Associates Real Estate. It is the most expensive condo ever sold in the city, and the third most expensive in the Tampa Bay area.

No deed has been filed yet and the buyer’s name was not disclosed.

The seller, a Tampa-based company called Temecula Investments LLC, bought this unit for $7.43 million in December 2023.

The four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home was completed late last year. The unit spans more than 6,100 square feet with 1,700 square feet of private outdoor space.

An amenity deck on the 7th floor of the building features a resort-style pool lined with cabanas, fire pits, club rooms, a fitness center with an outdoor fitness terrace and a dog park.

“The penthouse was sold as a blank slate, with the amenities of Saltaire, the downtown St. Pete location, and the spectacular city and water views being the priority,” Jacki Fabrizio, the listing agent with Smith & Associates, said in a statement. “The new owner has an incredible vision for this residence and will be able to completely customize the home’s interior design.”

The building, developed by Kolter Urban, sold out in 2022, before construction was completed.
