Nashik-bengaluru Flight: Daily Nashik-Bengaluru flight from Sept 10; industries

Nashik: A private airline on Saturday announced a daily and direct flight connecting Nashik with Bengaluru from Sept 10. The move follows long-pending demand from the industries in the region.Nashik presently has air connectivity to Hyderabad, Goa, Nagpur, Indore, Ahmedabad and Delhi. “We are pleased to announce daily Nashik-Bengaluru flights from Sept. This new route is poised to reduce travel time, enhance regional connectivity, and further trade and tourism between the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra,” stated a press statement issued by Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales of IndiGo.The daily flight would depart from Bengaluru at 2.40pm and reach Nashik at 4.20pm. On the return journey, it would leave from Nashik at 4.50pm and reach Bengaluru at 6.35pm.Manish Rawal, co-chairman of the aviation committee of the MCCIA, said, “The air connectivity between Nashik and Bengaluru will boost the tourism sectors of Nashik as tourists from the southern parts of India will be able to visit the destinations in Nashik and its adjoining areas.”Nikhil Panchal, secretary of the Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association, said, “Through Bengaluru, we will get connectivity to South India.”
