PORTLAND, Ore.  – November 28, 2023 – Colliers is pleased to announce the lease agreement between Benson Industries Inc., a construction engineering company, and NP MachineWorks LLC at MachineWorks, a Class A office building located in the heart of downtown Portland’s Pearl District.

The lease entails 20,000 rentable square feet within the 114,416 square foot Class A office building, which features floor-to-ceiling windows, secure parking, bike storage, LEED Gold certification, and LA Fitness on site. Colliers’ Trevor Kafoury and Autumn Brice represented the tenant and JLL’s Andrew Rosengarten and Annalore Rodman represented the landlord.

“As Portland’s office market continues to face challenges, tenants are seeking out the highest quality buildings to provide safe, inviting, and collaborative spaces for their employees,” said Kafoury. “Benson Industries’ new lease at MachineWorks is an excellent example of this and part of a larger trend that will continue to play out for the foreseeable future .”

Benson Industries’ decision to upgrade to a private, secure, high-quality office space with Class A amenities underscores the growing ‘flight to quality’ trend as employers seek to entice workers to return to the office. The company has leased the full seventh floor of the MachineWorks Building, consolidating offices to accommodate their full team under one roof and providing space for product display, collaboration and private offices.
