All Inclusive Playground at Black Tooth Park – Sheridan Media

Black Tooth Park in west Sheridan will soon be getting an all inclusive playground if the City Council approves the project. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

City staff is recommending the Council approve the purchase and installation of an all-inclusive playground from Star Playgrounds, through Sourcewell cooperative bidding process, in the amount of $1,036,384. City Engineer Thomas Morneau.

Morneau said the all inclusive playground is phase four of the Black Tooth Park project.

An inclusive playground is a comfortable, accessible play area accommodating users with various physical, mental and learning abilities.  They welcome and engage users, bring communities together, offer a wide variety of activities, making each person feel valued and understood.  People with sensory processing disorders, language and auditory challenges, and mobility devices can all enjoy the playground’s diverse design. The purchase and installation of the all-inclusive playground is expected to be considered by the City Council at an upcoming regular business meeting.
