World’s 1st Foldable Diamond Frame E-Bike Has Anand Mahindra’s Attention

Anand Mahindra, the chairperson of Mahindra Group, celebrated the ingenuity of a group of young minds from IIT Bombay in a recent social media post. Mahindra, who often uses his platform to spotlight emerging talent, shared his excitement about the “world’s first foldable diamond frame e-bike” developed by the students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. In a post on X (Formerly Twitter), Mahindra praised the students for their groundbreaking creation and revealed that he was an investor in their startup. The innovative e-bike, named Hornback X1, boasts a foldable diamond frame design and features full-size wheels, making it 35% more efficient than other foldable bikes, Mahindra said in the caption. What sets this bike apart is its stability at higher speeds and the convenience of not needing to be lifted after folding, he added.

Mahindra was visibly thrilled as he took the Hornback X1 for a spin around his office compound. The business tycoon’s endorsement didn’t go unnoticed; Hornback, the startup behind the e-bike, expressed their astonishment and gratitude for Mahindra’s support.

Since the post was shared on the social media platform, it gained 1.1 million views. Users flooded the comment section with praise for Mahindra’s support of young talent and the remarkable innovation achieved by the IIT Bombay team.
