A boil water advisory has been issued in LaPlace after officials said a water line broke as a contractor was working in the area. Crews say water is slowly being restored to LaPlace. Out of precaution, LaPlace is now under a boil water advisory which is estimated to be lifted by the Department of Health in two to three days. It is recommended that LaPlace residents and businesses bring their water to a rolling boil before consuming it or using it for food preparation until the advisory is lifted.
