The Crafty Village Market is bringing another vendor’s market to Callander this Sunday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event takes place at the Callander Community Centre at 1984 Swale Street, in Callander.
Expect about 30 local vendors to shop from, said Emily Jodouin, one of the event’s organizers. She also explained that Halloween costumes are encouraged, and there will be goodie bags for the kids and face painting.
The event is free to attend, and you’re welcome to bring a non-perishable food donation for the food bank.
A similar market was held this past summer, and “it went great,” Jodouin said, “we had a lot of people come out, and a lot of kids.” Part of the attraction – at least for the kids – was a visit from Chase, one of the stars from the television show Paw Patrol.

There “was a long line” of kids who wanted to have their picture taken with Chase, and Jodouin said Chase will be back at this Sunday’s event, and if Chase can’t make it, another Paw Patrol star will appear in his place.
The photo opportunities await because kids love Paw Patrol. For those more interested in browsing the vendors’ wares, you can expect to see candles, sewing, soaps, woodworking items, jewellery, and all types of crafts and wares, many crafted by local hands.
“It’s a great event, and totally free for the community,” Jodouin emphasized. “We hope to keep scaling the business and grow the events to a larger scale while still keeping it free for all.”
