Two found dead in Greenfield home filled with carbon monoxide, firefighters say
Investigators found two people dead at a Greenfield home filled with carbon monoxide Wednesday afternoon.Firefighters responded to the home near 72nd and Plainfield Avenue around 3:40 p.m. for a report of a natural gas leak.When first responders arrived, they found elevated levels of carbon monoxide and no gas leak. Firefighters found two adults dead in the home. They say the home did not have working carbon monoxide detectors.Greenfield police and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating and working to determine the exact source of carbon monoxide. The victims’ names have not been released.
