Sotheby’s Garners over $4M at Milan Fine Jewels Sale
A diamond ring by Italian maison Sabbadini was the top seller at the most recent Sotheby’s Fine Jewels auction, more than doubling its high estimate.
The piece, featuring a square emerald-shaped, 9.38-carat, F-color, SI1-clarity diamond, brought in EUR 190,500 ($201,753) at the Fine Jewels & Watches: Milan sale last week. The ring’s high estimate was EUR 80,000 ($84,726).
In total, Sotheby’s garnered EUR 4 million ($4.3 million) from the auction, which ran from October 11 to 25.
