Some Kroger stores around the Cincinnati region may soon ask you for a receipt check upon leaving the store.The company recently announced that new safety measures have been added at six Kroger stores around the region, including periodic receipt checks.A spokesperson with the company told WLWT on Friday that the measures have been implemented in response to increased incidents of theft.Below is a list of the stores that have implemented the new measures:Hyde Park 3760 Paxton Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45209St. Bernard 4777 Kenard Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45232Norwood Kroger 4500 Montgomery Road Cincinnati, OH 45212Oakley Marketplace 4613 Marburg Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45209 Kroger 100 E. Safety is one of our core values, and it guides everything we do. In response to increased incidents of theft, we recently deployed added safety measures at six Cincinnati-area stores, including periodic receipt checks. Although early in implementation, we have received positive feedback from associates and customers,” a statement from a Kroger spokesperson said.

A spokesperson with the company told WLWT on Friday that the measures have been implemented in response to increased incidents of theft.
