Six Carroll County farmers markets to open for summer season – Baltimore Sun

Six farmers markets will be open for the summer season around Carroll County.

The markets, located in Hampstead, Mount Airy, Sykesville, Taneytown and Westminster, are scheduled to open at various times in May and June, according to a county news release. Vendors will sell fresh food, including baked goods, dairy, eggs and meats.

Bonnie Staub, tourism manager at Carroll County Tourism, said the farmers markets are a great way for the community to support local farmers.

“We always promote shop local … because you’re helping to support a small farmer or an orchard growing produce and fruits and that really helps the community,” she said.
