A person either robbed or attempted to rob a bank in Van Buren Thursday morning, according to Capt. Jonathan Wear with the city’s police department.Wear did not know if anything had been taken.Police were called to Generations Bank at about 10:30 a.m. No one was hurt, Wear said.Law enforcement had not identified a suspect as of 11:10 a.m.Generations Bank is located near where Alma Boulevard and Alma Highway meet. That’s just south of Gracelawn Cemetery.The location belonged to the First Community Bank of Crawford County until Generations Bank purchased it in 2014, according to the company website. Generations Bank was known as First Bank at the time.
