RightShip has introduced PortRISK, a new risk management system targeted at improving operational efficiency and decision making for port and terminal operators during vessel pre-arrival preparations.
PortRISK is built on RightShip’s maritime vessel, incident, and business database, including pre-arrival inspections and reviews to expedite operations and offer full visibility of vessels’ risk profiles before they arrive in port.
This new solution reportedly allows operators to mitigate risks more effectively, while enabling optimal resource allocation, berth management, and efficient operating operations.
According to RightShip statistics, half of all maritime events documented in 2022 happened within the borders of ports and terminals, with the bulk of these occurring while ships were docked. This emphasizes the necessity for a sector-specific risk management system that is effective and efficient.

The system, which is designed to improve supply chain resilience, is totally automated, reducing the labour-intensive portions of pre-selection inspections and lowering the likelihood of interruptions.
