R.E.A.C.H. Meets with FCC Again–This Time Assisting Consumer and Governmental

R.E.A.C.H. never stops working for the good players in the lead generation industry.

Last week, the powerful Puja J. Amin joined the Czar, along with Gayla Huber, R.E.A.C.H. Board Secretary and President of IntegriShield, and Peter Vitale, R.E.A.C.H. Member and President of Encore Insurance and Lead Clinic.

This was a packed meeting with FCC attendees including Bureau Chief Alejandro Roark, Deputy Bureau Chief Mark Stone, Legal Advisor Aaron Garza, Consumer Policy Division and Information Access and Privacy Office Acting Chief Kristi Thornton, Consumer Policy Division and Information Access and Privacy Office Deputy Zac Champ and Attorney Advisor Jerusha Burnett.

Very very powerful lineup. Very impactful bunch in attendance.

And the meeting was HIGHLY productive with R.E.A.C.H. members laser focused on helping the Commission to understand the DISATROUR effects of the proposal to destroy lead generation.

Tough questions were asked and a very meaningful exchange took place–as you’d expect. The bureau is really on top of this as some tough decisions are going to have to be made.

R.E.A.C.H. obviously stays at the very forefront of regulatory and legislative change in this area and we are always grateful to the Commission for opening their doors and holding so many meetings with us. But this is a very important issue–and the FCC seems to understand the critical place R.E.A.C.H. members hold as good players in an ecosystem that (unfortunately)  does still include some gray and black hat actors.

None of those actors in R.E.A.C.H., however, and its standards are the absolute industry gold standard right now.

You’re either a member of R.E.A.C.H. or you’re a suspicious company in my view–and perhaps in the view of the regulators. Not saying that for sure, but there is a really clear mindset forming right now that some companies are committed to REAL and MEANINGFUL standards, and some are not.

And the regulators are PLAINLY taking notice.

Like I told the FTC– the “consent farms” have got to go!

More meetings with the Commission set up this month–and we really appreciate the time! We’ll keep everyone in the loop. Stay tuned.

And reach out (pun) if you have interest in joining R.E.A.C.H. and demonstrating you’re one of the best and most compliant companies in the industry!
