Before the start of the girls’ basketball game against MVU on January 3, we had a very special ceremony as we presented Northwest Medical Center and The Jim Bashaw Foundation with the check from the BFA St. Albans/MVU Powder Puff Football funds that were raised by each of the schools and communities.
The representatives from both NMC and the Jim Bashaw Foundation along with participants from both Missisquoi and St. Albans joined assistant athletic director, Jordan O’Grady, at mid-court as he presented them with the $14,036 check for the Jim Bashaw Foundation.
Since the inception of this game in 2009, both schools have raised thousands of dollars for both Camp-Ta-Kum-Ta and the Jim Bashaw Foundation. This year the schools and communities raised a staggering total of over $33,000! Joining the student-athletes and assistant athletic director, Jordan O’Grady, at mid-court were Denise Smith, Chelsey Mulheron, and Wayne Hobbs, representatives from both NMC and the Jim Bashaw Foundation.
