One man in custody after Wahpeton house fire | The Mighty 790 KFGO


WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO)—The Wahpeton Police Department reported that one man is in custody after a house fire Saturday evening around 7:45. Four residents currently live in the 500 block of 6th St N, and three were home at the time of the fire.

All residents home at the time of the fire were safe and unharmed. Six pets are currently living in the residence. One resident, Adam Lief Erickson, of Wahpeton, was arrested for Endangering by fire or explosion. The Wahpeton Fire Department was dispatched and extinguished the fire that caused extensive damage to the house.

The Wahpeton Police Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Emergency Management, Wahpeton Street Department, Ottertail Power, and Great Plains Natural Gas responded. Breckenridge/Wahpeton Ambulance was placed on standby assistance. There was no danger to the public related to this incident.
