OKAY Industries Rebrands as AVNA » CBIA

New Britain-based manufacturer OKAY Industries is rebranding as AVNA beginning January 2024.

The company announced the new name Dec. 29, along with a new logo and the tagline: Innovation Partners for Life.

The rebranding is designed to reflect the company’s market focus on medical device manufacturing. 

“The new name and identity align with our culture, our purpose, and our commitment to our customers, our communities, and patients around the globe,” said president and CEO Jason Howey. 

“Guided by our new mission ‘Saving lives, one part at a time’ and our core values; People, Passion, Partnerships, and Performance, our team is fully committed to delivering outcomes the world can rely on.”

Advanced Innovation

The word AVNA is an abbreviation for “advanced innovation.”

It reflects the company’s role supporting customers during early-stage product development.

Howey said the logo represents the company’s ability to “transform the seemingly impossible to reality through passionate collaboration and innovation with our MedTech partners.”

And the tagline, Innovation Partners for Life highlights their commitment both as a long-term strategic partner to its clients, and to providing products and services that improve lives.

The company began in 1911 as the B. Jahn Manufacturing company, before becoming OKAY Industries in 1968.

The company now has three locations—two in Connecticut and one in Costa Rica.

“With our proud tradition of manufacturing here in the Hardware City, it is an honor to be a part of this rebranding event,” said New Britain mayor Erin Stewart.

“This effort led by Jason Howey and his team of amazing employees will help ensure that the company remains successful well into the future.”

The new AVNA brand will appear on the company’s materials, website, and social media beginning in January 2024.
