In 2019, Neoflow was awarded a contract under the DHS Preventing Forgery & Counterfeiting of Certificates and Licenses solicitation to develop the platform. The goal of the platform is to modernize the movement of natural gas and oil between Canada and the United States by utilizing Verifiable Credentials (W3C) and distributed ledger technology (DLT) based on industry standards.

The Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) is an initiative by the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) to promote innovation and collaboration with private sector partners in the development of homeland security solutions. Participants in SVIP are eligible for non-dilutive funding over four phases to adapt and develop commercial technologies for specific homeland security use cases.
