Mississippi State Announces First Ticketed Softball Season In 2024

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will implement a new ticketing process for softball in the upcoming 2024 season. Beginning in February, all fans must purchase a ticket for all games at Nusz Park.

The decision to ticket softball was made to enhance the gameday experience for both the student-athletes and fans while increasing support for the program. Season ticket holders will also receive priority access to purchase tickets for postseason events at Nusz Park.

“As softball continues to grow, we are thrilled to offer season tickets at Mississippi State,” head coach Samantha Ricketts said. “Our dedicated fanbase has helped us build a great atmosphere, giving us a home advantage during SEC weekends and postseason events. The growth of our sport, along with our new Fieldhouse, reflects ongoing support for women’s athletics and softball at MSU. We’re eager to keep pushing this program forward and playing our part in its future success.”

Mississippi State will become the 11th SEC school to sell tickets for its softball program. Softball will be State’s fifth ticketed sport along with football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

“The new admissions model requiring all fans to be ticketed further aligns Mississippi State softball with the majority of the Southeastern Conference and the top programs in the nation,” director of athletics Zac Selmon said. “Our goal was to prioritize and maintain a family environment with affordable pricing, while elevating our standards to maintain alignment with one of the nation’s most rapidly growing sports.”

Season tickets will be available for $99 with convenient payment plan options. Single-game tickets will be priced at $8 for adults and $5 for children. Group sales options will bring those prices down to $3 per ticket (must be purchased in advance). MSU students who purchased an All-Sports Pass earlier this year will automatically have softball games included in their package. Additionally, students may purchase softball-only packages for $30 for the year.

All tickets will be general admission.

State’s SEC schedule was released earlier this fall, with the full slate expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The Bulldogs have averaged 30 homes games each season over the past decade. Season tickets will also include all neutral games at the Bulldogs’ two home tournaments this spring.

Parking is free in the lots surrounding Nusz Park on non-baseball weekends. Reserved parking in the Nusz Park outfield lot is available exclusively for members of the Diamond Club. Renewals and new memberships in the Diamond Club are available now. Those interested in supporting the program through naming opportunities within the new Softball Fieldhouse should contact the Bulldog Club at 662-325-3074.
