Louisiana Parish oil spill in Bayou Lafourche
Lafourche Parish government said they are aware of an oil spill in the Bayou Lafourche south of LA Route 182 in Raceland. Officials in Lafourche say the leak was caused by a valve failure at a plant in Raceland and the discharge from the valve went into Bayou Lafourche. They say the oil is contained and there is no active leak at this time but there is a big response for clean up.Agencies have been notified, and crews are working to capture what’s in the water.
