List of Retirees Eligible for June 26th Social Security Payments

Social Security is sending the last payment in June in the next days

Only a specific group of United States citizens can enjoy the Social Security payment on June 26th, 2024. This payment is for group 4 beneficiaries, but even if we are in this group we will not get it on the same day of the payment if we do not meet certain requirements.

In total, three requirements must be met in order to get the payment on this day. While it is true that this is true, it is also true that we can get the payment of this day’s benefit by only fulfilling two of them. But in that case the money will appear in the days following the remittance and not on the same day of payment.

If we want to get the check on the exact June 26th, it is mandatory that we have Direct Deposit activated. Without this collection method, it will take about 3 days for the money to appear in the bank account.

Also, you must belong to retiree group 4 in order for the Social Security Administration to send you a check on this day. Those Americans who do not belong to this group should have had the money available weeks ago.

Retirees eligible for Social Security on June 26th

As we have discussed before, the June 26th payments will be only for retirees who are part of group 4. And to be part of group 4 Social Security retirees only need to meet 2 requirements.

Thus, retirees who can get this payment are those who:

• Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
• Have had their Social Security benefit accepted since after May 1997.

On the other hand, activating Direct Deposit gives us the possibility of having the money as soon as the Administration sends it. So don’t forget to activate this collection method if you don’t want to wait too long to get the money.

Last payment of Social Security in June

The June 26th payment is the last of the checks sent by the Social Security Administration this month. Therefore, those retirees who are not part of group 4 already have the money in their checking accounts. So check your card balance to see if you have already gotten the money or not.

If you haven’t gotten it you may have to claim the payment from the administration. In any case, it is advisable to contact the bank before that, as it can sometimes withhold the money from the benefits.

In any case, after the payment on June 26th we will have to wait until July to get another check. The 1st of next month will be the day when the Social Security Administration will send out the Supplemental Security Income, so if you are eligible you will be able to get it.
