Boil water notice issued in Fort Myers after water main break in Treeline Ave. area

The City of Fort Myers has issued a boil water notice after a water main break was discovered in the area of Treeline Avenue between Colonial Boulevard and Daniels Parkway.City officials said crews are working on a 24″ water main in the vicinity of Treeline Avenue. The water main break is impacting a significant area of Lee County. According to the city’s news release, the following residences and businesses are affected:The entire subdivision of: Pelican Preserve, Whispering Palms, Colonial Country Club, Legacy Gateway, Plantation Somerset, C5, Marina Bay, Arborwood Preserve, Plantation Kingsbridge, Botanica Lakes, Olympia Point, Sherwood of the Crossroads, Shoppes at Pelican Preserve, Arborwood Shopping Center, Crossroads Shopping Center and Treeline Elementary School.Residents are advised to boil water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth and washing dishes.
