Andy Hardy Obituary – MI

Andy Hardy February 1, 1919 – February 17, 2001 Dear father, it would now be your 100th birthday. While we miss you greatly we also remember the good man you were, your devotion to family and country, your easy going nature and always ready sense of humor. In life you travelled far from the small coal mining town in southern Illinois, living through the poverty of the Great Depression and then the 3 years of service in the Pacific during WW2. You eventually made a peaceful life building your own house in the rural Village of St Clair Shores. You always put mom and us kids first with the hope that we would be better off than the generation before. You lived your life showing us how to be respectful and kind to all and you always stepped up to help friends and neighbors in need. You knew how to share laughter and a good time and I don’t recall anything that you were not able to fix. So here’s to you dad on your 100th from your family who will love and remember you always – and who you left way better off than the generation before. Thank you dad!
