2024 Carthage Farmers Market opens with fresh produce and local goods |
CARTHAGE, Mo. — Today marked the opening day for the 2024 Carthage Farmers Market.
This year’s market activities will take place inside Central Park, every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. from now until November.
A variety of products are offered from greenhouse plants, baked goods, jams, jelly, and honey.
You can also, of course, pick out a bevy of fresh produce products.
Those include lettuce, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and cucumbers.
Something new that’s also looking to start being incorporated in the market later this year – is the acceptance of EBT cards.
“I’m always not ready to start the season – but then I hate to quit when the season is coming to an end. Yeah, we are ready to go,” said Tammy Wilson, Carthage Farmers Market Vendor.
The Farmers Market is looking for additional vendors to set up shop – this year.
